Limited Product Warranty

1. Warranty Overview
NeatoFX (a division of CodeMakesItGo LLC) warrants its hardware products against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service conditions. This warranty gives you specific legal rights; you may also have other rights which vary by jurisdiction.
2. Hardware Warranty — 1 Year
NeatoFX warrants the Audio 50 and Target IR hardware against manufacturing defects and component failure under normal use conditions for a period of 1 year from the date of original purchase.
Normal Use Defined
Operating the product in a fixed indoor installation within the electrical specifications stated in the product documentation. This includes use with compatible IR transmitters, speakers, LED strips, servos, and relay loads within rated limits; installation in indoor, climate-controlled entertainment venues; operation within the specified voltage range (5–24V DC for Target IR, 12V DC for Audio 50); and connection of compatible devices within rated electrical limits.
Use in outdoor, high-humidity, high-vibration, or extreme temperature environments is not considered normal use and is not covered under this warranty.
What Is Covered
Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship
Component failure under normal operating conditions
Defects that prevent the product from functioning as described in the product documentation
What Is Not Covered
Physical damage from misuse, abuse, accident, or unauthorized modification
Damage from incorrect wiring, incorrect power supply voltage, or reverse polarity
Water damage, moisture ingress, or exposure to corrosive environments
Damage from operating outside specified electrical ratings
Cosmetic wear that does not affect product function
Degradation of consumable components including SD cards, screw terminals, and indicator LEDs
Physical damage to connectors or enclosures from repeated field installation
Performance changes from dust, humidity, or temperature cycling
Products with removed or altered serial numbers
Consequential or incidental damages of any kind
3. Firmware Warranty — 1 Year
NeatoFX warrants that the firmware shipped with each product will perform substantially as described in the product documentation for a period of 1 year from the date of original purchase.
What Is Covered
Firmware bugs that prevent the product from operating as documented
OTA firmware updates to address documented defects at no charge
What Is Not Covered
Feature requests or functionality not in the original documentation
Issues from user-modified firmware or custom ESPHome configurations
Incompatibilities with third-party software beyond Home Assistant and ESPHome
Modified firmware note: Firmware warranty does not apply to units running user-modified firmware. To reinstate coverage, restore the official NeatoFX firmware at any time via OTA update. Hardware warranty is not affected by firmware modifications.
4. Warranty Remedy
For valid warranty claims, NeatoFX will, at its sole discretion, replace the defective unit with a new or functionally equivalent unit at no charge. NeatoFX does not offer on-site repair services.
5. How to Make a Warranty Claim
Contact NeatoFX within the applicable warranty period. Include the following with your claim:
Proof of purchase (invoice or order confirmation)
Product model and serial number
Description of the defect or issue
Photos or video demonstrating the issue where applicable
NeatoFX responds to warranty claims within 5 business days. If approved, you will receive an RMA number. Do not return any product without first obtaining an RMA number.
6. Disclaimer of Other Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY PROVIDED BY NEATOFX. NEATOFX EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NEATOFX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE PRODUCT, EVEN IF NEATOFX HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. NEATOFX'S TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT.
